A postdoc position is available in the research Group of Prof. Dr. Sandra Luber at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich (Switzerland).
The group focuses on forefront computational methods and applications at the interface of chemistry, biology, physics, and materials science.

Aufgabenbereich / Responsibilities

The research topic of the project deals with development of novel approaches with application in the field of photocatalysis (in particular solar light-driven water splitting). The project will possibly be carried out in collaboration with experimental groups, for instance of the university research priority program “Solar Light to Chemical Energy Conversion” ( Methods used will encompass static and dynamic ab initio approaches.

Anforderungen / Qualifications

The candidate must hold a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, or related, and have profound English skills. The successful candidate will be creative, ambitious, highly motivated and able to work independently. Strong programming skills and experience in method development, in particular for electronic structure theory / ab initio molecular dynamics, are an advantage.
