Our group focuses on the genetic determinants of aldosterone producing adenomas and the mechanisms of autonomous aldosterone production and tumor formation in the adrenal gland.

Aufgabenbereich / Responsibilities

Candidates interested in the molecular mechanisms of human diseases are encouraged to apply. To approach the questions mentioned above, we use genetically modified animals and cell models in addition to translational studies utilizing international biobanks. The main subject of this PhD project is to develop and characterize animal models of primary aldosteronism.

Anforderungen / Qualifications

- Diploma thesis or master's degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine or related fields
- Previous experience with animal experimentation and microscopy
- High motivation and independence
- Excellent English language skills
- Enthusiasm for working in an ambitious, multi-disciplinary and multicultural research group
